A Goodbye to Summer

I went to DC to visit the WWII Memorial. For those who have not had a chance to visit, you need to. It was a very sobering visit, but truly inspiring. I feel the placement of the memorial ( between the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument ) was beautiful. My grandfather served in WWII, and with the 16 million which served in the armed forces, I hope he finds some peace when he visits. Moreover, I hope he, along with all that served, know that the American people and I appreciate the sacrifices for our freedom.

I saw this the other day, and had to share the simple beauty of this wasp with his reflection. Really makes you wonder what they see day to day.
